Cheeseville, Somerset

The puppy has just lost a baby tooth and it's the first one i've found - i'm now feeling all sentimental and putting it in a glass jar to keep

What things do you like to keep?

Kids first teeth, and a lock of their hair from their first haircut.

Special birthday cards, and anything given to me by anyone special in my life.

The land of grey peas and bacon

My mum gave me a bracelet that belonged to my nan on my wedding day...it's too small for me but it's a reminder of both my mum and my nan...my mum has kept mine and my sisters birth bracelets from the hospital

I've got my dogs baby teeth I only managed to find a few. I put them in a small box.

We keep handmade cards made of course by each other.

I kept my mam's diaries after she passed away and her jewellery.

I'm a big sentimental sop. I have knick knacks and things from members of my family as well as places I've visited.

In one relationship i had i found little items from each place we visited or special occasion during our first year together and put them all together in a frame and gave them to him for our first anniversary. I also kept a flower and dried it out from each time he gave me flowers and put them in a vase on the sideboard.

Yeah, like i said.... Big Sentimental Sop.

Arse End of the Universe, Cumbria

I've got a lock of my own baby hair in a wee waxed packet that my Mam found when moving house and gave to me...I can't throw it out, but it's bloody ginger and a permanent reminder of my shame at being TangoFlapsCaz

I kept my daughter's wrist and leg band from when she was born. I also kept her first pair of shoes, she's 29 now. I was given a plastic eggcup that I used to carry around as a comforter when I was a toddler. I believe its about 50 years old now lol.

London

I have the hospital ankle and wrist bracelets along with the cot card of my babies. I also have a lock of my son's hair in a small box in my wardrobe.

I was burgled whilst on holiday, when my daughter phoned me the first thing I asked her to check for, after ascertaining she was alright was my box.

I keep lots of sentimental things, my mother was the same. I keep hair from my children which is kept in the bible with my lock of baby hair, any family announcements in the newspaper, baby ultrasound pics, christening cards and gifts, cards the kids made, my wedding dress, christening gowns, first baby shoes etc etc.

I keep pet memorabilia too, my old dogs collars, leads, bowls and I also have my puppies baby teeth

My Ice Castle! South Wales

I have 2 biscuit tins I use as memory boxes chose metal ones as I was paranoid in a fire I'd lose the stuff inside. One has silly things in I kept from my best friend who I lost when I was 17, like letters we wrote, pictures, etc. The other has all kinds of stuff in from railcards when I've been on great weekends to cinema tickets of fav movies. Of course I've got jewellery too in my jewellery box that I've been handed down

Central

One of my grandfathers painted some pictures for me, before he died. Pride of place at home, though must make some people uncertain about my artistic taste. Im a bit of a hoarder, so have been clearing out the mementoes and collectibles, as the place was a bit full.
