Shortly, I may have to go to Manchester for a work course, possibly for two weeks, but more than likely one.

I've never been to Manchester and I've googled some places to try to see whilst I'm there. But really would love some local knowledge if possible on the best things to do or see.

Also are there any clubs in Manc? I'd like to tag along to one if I can.

E.

Hope you enjoy your trip to our city. The best thing to do is go to Tourist Information Shop on Piccadilly Gardens when you here, they will tell all you need to visit etc.Nightlifes good at weekends, head for the Northern Quarter, its the in place at the moment. As for clubs, read up in the section in the forum which one suits you best.Amour is a new club near the cc, very friendly and comes recommended.Have fun and bring a brolly.

Manchester is my home city and you will love it!

There are lots of attractions and the advice above to go to the tourist information centre is correct.

Go over to Sackville Gardens and have your picture taken with one of the greatest human beings in history Alan Turing.

Enjoy The Federal Republic of Mancunia!

Been told Cupids is good. Couple of years ago I was seeing a lady who lives there and she took me to the gay quarter (canal st) great night, there are a lot of straight people down there too so don't worry just because of its gayness, they don't mind, infact I found it most welcoming

If you are after swingers clubs there is Cupids in Swinton just outside Manchester or Amour which is in the city centre. Both have listings on the clubs section on here. As for things to do - you are spoiled for choice. Best to do an internet search. (Tho I think two weeks wont be long enough) Enjoy!

Definitely! Its a massive shopping centre, food halls etc. Its outta the centre so would need to drive or get tram. Gets v busy. And you may even see some celebs (we are sad up north and by celebs I am talking Hollyoaks stars - unlikely to bump into Johnny Depp)

Love Manchester - plenty going on! Really cool bars, pubs, etc, football museum, gigs at a few places, northern quarter is kinda cool as already mentioned.

Tripadvisor has loads of them on there too, for some suggestions - enjoy!

Morning E_jay.

Manchester is a really cool place, especially if your a single bloke and like a good night out!

I can recommend plenty of places, but if you want some amazing food I'd try china town, and I go to a little place on Faulkner street called Try Thai all the time!

Northern quarter is buzzing at night, plenty of places do live music if that's your thing, even have a jazz club or two (and that's not a euphemism lol)

Sure you'll have a ball, if you need a wingman, get in touch lol
