A 427 sounds beautiful. The Cobra's haunches make her look ready to pounce. Simply lovely

Has anyone actually driven an E-Type? I have, and they're horrible to drive. When you accelerate the front end lifts up and you lose about 50 feet of forward vision, the steering is ridiculously heavy at low speeds and the suspension is terrible. They look ok though.

There's a company selling "AC Cobra" kit cars based on a Z3.

Many people say that the Z3 was based on the Cobra anyway

You're all wrong, the most beautiful car ever made is the Citroen DS (if you believe the critics anyway )

In my opinion, the Mercedes with the gullwing doors is a beautiful car, as is that new supercharged jag with the ducktail. Cobras are very nice though.

The Ac is Stunning. The sound of a Knarly V8 is something else, shame it was a Ford motor and not a Chevy. Had an Etype, worst car I have ever driven, look good but horrible to drive. Mustang an all time classic. Not a fan of the Italian super cars to be honest, love the simplicity of the old Yanks.

I'd say more overlooked or forgotten qualities, but yes, it is a beauty to me. The Mustang Mach One also beats the Shelby for me. I have no probs with the GT 500 but it was more a showroom piece than a performance legend IMO.

Of the classic,s mentioned here in

You might see an owner driveing a 1950,s

When in your change/money before Decimilization came in in 1971 you still

Had victorian, and edwardian pennys, and

Half pennys, edwardian shillings,and

george v florins 1912 upwards and later monarchs I remember once I got a perfect

half penny of queen victoria in my change of 1862 back in 1967 I kept that

Never liked anything from Zagato. They all look like bad kit cars, especially the Lancias. The DB5 is nice, a MK 3 corvette is a beautiful piece of Americana. Auburn or Cord speedsters are beautiful pieces of Art Deco workmanship. Most lamborghinis are works of art. Even the brutal LM002.

For functional beauty you can't beat the Lancia Stratos and the original Quattro

Ac cobra was pretty nice but there is a kit version called the dragonsnake. That was my favourite because it used the jag rear axle without cutting it down. It was bigger than any other cobra and just looks Devine.

Thee type always looked like someone had put the wheels too close together to my eye. Width wise. There is a new version on the market, I forget it's name, which runs on modern gear and the wheels actually fill the arches.

My fave is the Aston Martin DB9. I can't afford one or those though so I'll settle for a Z4.

"Not a single mention of the 59 Corvette- gorgeous from every angle!

and for those of you arguing over the Jaguar C/D/E type, you're all wrong as the X13 was the most beautiful car they ever made

Is that the Stingray?

The Stingray was the same car in a different body style IIRC?

I prefer the standard edition though

Pontiacs and Plymouths were fit then too. But for pimp cars, it has to be a Lincoln Continental. Cadillac can kiss my arse when it comes to those old Lincolnswhich one did jfk get

asassinated in.

That was a Lincoln. I don't think Caddys were ever used for presidential service back then"

Lincoln was assassinated in Ford's theatre, JFK was assassinated in a Ford Lincoln.

The AC is sex on wheels

But the ultimate orgasm on wheels comes in the flowing curves of the TVR Griffith!

Coincidence or no? Hmmm, crazy.

They would. The Corvette was introduced in 1953 but the Stingray wasn't introduced until 1963.

I'm a mustang girl, even if it's a Ford. The Shelby mustangs are just orgasm in manifest physical form.

Mustang Boss 302 or Mach-1 for me. The Shelby GT 500 is beautiful to look at, but it's the kind of car you'd really fear getting a paint chip or a dent in.

A car so awesome Ford got someone else to build it!!....

Most beautiful car I think is probably a Lamborghini Muira although I'm quite partial to a Lola T70

I do like the Boss 429 as well, but the others are my pet favourites.
