Medical marijuana is grown under controlled conditions and is essentially pretty mild, unlike things like skunk etc.

It's also available on prescription in some US states for certain medical conditions although I think I'm right in saying that if you're using medical marijuana then you can be fired from some jobs regardless of whether you have a legal prescription for it.
