Ok so I live next to my dad and (with his knowledge and consent) i use his broadband.

Came home tonight to find that there have been light controls placed on the broadband so fab is blocked

How do I broach the subject of getting the filters lifted???

It's essentially a proxy browser. You can get round most isp blocks using one. Say you fancied accessing a site to download the latest DVD releases but your isp has blocked access to the particular site you prefer, a Tor browser will enable you to circumvent the block and access the site.

Not that I advocate illegal movie downloads, I was just using it as an example.

Did he put the filters on for the grandchildren?

Tell him about a site that both of you would like that might have some adult (not naughty) content and then he'll have to lift the controls to see it.
