One of my sisters uses the red velvet boxed mixes and white choc chips to make cookies with. A bit fiddly, she says, but taste great.

I've entered quite a few now, mainly just little village fêtes really. I'm not one to blow my own trumpet but I love baking and think I'm pretty good at it and want to open my own cake shop at some point.

Yeah easier than you think to make. Just Lakeland caramel flavour in the sponge and then in the buttercream add the caramel flavour and then a pinch or 2 of fine sea salt. If you want you can drizzle the cake with some dulce de leche too.
