Here is something I have never been able to figure out:

People who have opinions and are unable to discuss them.

Such symptoms include: "well that's my opinion, you cannot tell me I am wrong."

Incorrect, opinion is a persons view on a fact. Therefore someone can and should mention when people have them wrong.

Another symptom: the complete and utter inability to change one's opinion despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary.

What causes this inability to engage with other people and what causes the inability to change your mind when presented with new and conclusive information?

depends on how stubborn a person is. If you have a belief in something it might take a fair while to adjust a view point even if there are facts presented to state that the opinion is incorrect.

If i was having a debate with someone i disliked i know i would never let them know that my opinion was flawed. Id stand my ground. (even if i was wrong

Generally with these forums i may have an opinion on an issue and as more people join in my view point has been swayed and ive seen facts from another perspective

Stubbornness?

Inability to vocalise (or type) a logical, coherent argument or response to a question/challenge?

Plain old stupidity?

Could be any number of reasons.

They could just be an argumentative fucktard?

Who says their opinion is wrong? Aren't people allowed to have their own opinion, no matter what it is? As long as they aren't harming anyone what difference does it make. Discussion is fine is mutual respect exists.

"Incorrect, opinion is a persons view on a fact. Therefore someone can and should mention when people have them wrong. "

What if the opinion relates to a theory? Or an emotion? Or a perception? Or a prediction? Or an ideology?

If no facts exist - how can an opinion ever be wrong?

Different to another opinion - but in a world of no quantifiable proof or factual evidence - hard to say any opinion is ever wrong.

Ur right everyone is entitled to there own opinion but unless asked for it it should be kept to the person ex this was on the radio the other day this 30 something lad was living in London for a couple of years in which time he let himself gi and put on some weight it never bothered him cause no one said anything but he got a job offer back in Ireland he was walking down and street when a ole doll walked up to him and said he was over weight and should be ashamed of himself yes she has a right to her own opinion but the old fucking dragon ?? should keep it to herself

Are you trying to say that their opinion on opinions is wrong?
