Here occasionally, but mostly somewhere else

Message someone else.

If that's still not working, reconsider how your replies would look to the reader...desperate, negative, trying too hard? however unintentional, it's easily done.

Try getting involved in a chat room.

Attend a social, even if it means making a special effort ( my first experience was a social 170 miles away, but I accept that's a bit much!)

Dunno, but it's an absolute struggle. So much criteria has to be met and judgement BEFORE you've even met up for a light social drink/chat.
