It's finally come to the point in my life where I have to say goodbye.....

To my old Adidas Samba's!

They've served me well for the past two yearsof daily abuse. So I've been to my local Sports Direct and picked up another pair, exactly the same!

2 years? Crikey, they don't make them like they used to. My Hi Tecs have lasted me well. I had them in 1997 and they have been in a cupboard since 2003 but still look ok

In all fairness Tina, aside from the two times I've worn my 'going out shoes' these Samba's have hardly left my feet.

In that case, they may have developed life of their own and are now off out into the world seeking adventure

I first had a pair of adidas sambas back in 1992, they lasted years. The adidas sambas are like the porsche 911 of the trainer world, a timeless classic that will never go out of fashion.

sambas used to come in black leather, brown suede and blue suede, they stopped making them and then reintroduced them due to public demand. Only they are not the same. Neither are the Kaiser or mondial retro football boots.

Trainers i got now are the new retro Nike air max. They don't quite feel the same to wear as the ones did back in the early 90's though.

Sambas are like fine wine they get better with age. I'm (mr) an indie kid so have had campus and sambas since about 94 I love them I wear them to destruction. Always has to be blue

Daily use for 2 years? They must have been riddled with fungal spores and would have been put inside a nuclear decommissioning facility if in this vicinity. I suggest you air the next lot and rotate your footwear. The memories may not have been fond for others.
