I'm sure we have all heard that saying but, I'm sure la chambre would not want the publicity they have got on today's Sheffield star front page.

Would a story like this put anyone off going?

Somewhere in North Norfolk

I've no idea. What's the story?

For some reason I don't receive the Sheffield Star.

its online... talking about a potential rape case at the club that is going on at the moment...

we are going to have to be very, very careful about what is written at the moment

I have never seen anything bad at any club, they all seem more relaxed than a town centre pub on a weekend night. Maybe I have been lucky so far.

No it wouldn't put me off going. Idiots can be anywhere. It's not the club's fault. Lots of lovely people go to clubs. Unfortunately nasty people do too. But you can't live your life avoiding nasty people... you'd never live.

i've never been to a club but if i seen what i thought was rape, i doubt i would bugger off looking for a member of staff.

I'm sure everyone else would say the same. I'm having trouble working out quite how this could have happened undisturbed.

I don't mean to detract from what this woman has said happened to her but one point sticks in my head out of all of it that would put me off going

The woman and her friends don't go there to play, they only socialise which I know some people do but the comment of we went upstairs to watch people having sex and laugh at them puts me off completely

Knowing the layout of the place this allegedly happened in and the use it gets I'm also wondering how this happened undisturbed.

I was not there but I was told by a very reliable source that it was a busy night too.

No ! it would not put me off to go their. Because i am almost every weekend at La Chambre. It´s one of the places with the most relaxed atmosphere wich i know.

Can´t imagine how things like that can happen their, i know w the indoor smoking room is , and i know that this weird Towel-Guys are walking all arround the hole time , like hunters

I think it will have several effects...

it won't put the people off going who know the place well and have a certain loyalty to the place

it may put off some who are nervous about trying out a club as it does make the place look and sound sleazy...

it will increase the interest of the gawpers and people who have an over healthy interest in other peoples less than savoury side as they see it, or vulberabilities...like the people who used to entertain themselves going to asylums to observe the inmates...

It wouldn't put me off attending clubs - I still think they're a much safer place in the main to meet up for NSA than if you met a total random in a vanilla bar/ club x

Oi Mr T, what if they have the memory of one of my elusive reversing goldfishes

If you see one, let me know as they are quite rare

Somebody I know is witness tho a rape that happened outside a vanilla club only a month ago. She was drugged they think. So can happen anywhere. But I think we all know this anyway.
