Seagulls...

Really starting to do my head in now !! Over the last few months we have 4 -5 families nesting on the next door and nearby rooftops and as we live on the top its stupidly noisy !!

Going out on the roof garden is like taking your life in your hands as they have young and tend to dive bomb or make a huge amount of noise !

I wouldnt hurt them in anyway and understand their need to nest but do they have to be so bloody noisy lol !!

Yes, they have such a novelty value for me I love the sound of them! I can imagine it gets old, like the bloody peacocks roaming around here screaming!

My daughter was attacked by three of them. ~All she did was walk down the main street but she had the cheek to walk past one of the houses they'd chosen to nest in. They're not just a pest, they're dangerous. If the dogs hadn't been there she'd have been in more of a mess than she was. Cut hand, arm and head. Hideous things!

Was actually quite cute the young ones came on to our roof and were quite inquisitive lol !!

However the parents made so much noise lol !! Problem is they will come back and nest etc in the same place year in year out ! grrr lol

We actually have 2 Peregrine falcons nesting in Bristol city centre ! They take out loads of pidgeons lol amazing to see !!

I saw them at work on tv a few months back.

Personally Id poison them with bicarb but its bound to upset many people doing that, would also leave a stinking mess everywhere.

I love the sound of seagulls - it reminds me I live in such a lovely place (I lived inland for 5 years - never again!)... but I can understand not wanting them nesting near you if they're so territorial and aggressively protective of their young. Would the local council be able to advise you? Or the RSPB?

Is it mainly seagulls in inland towns and cities that get so aggressive? We've never had a problem with them here and we live on the coast. I have no idea where ours go to nest - probably round your house

There a fucking noisey scrounging source of the sky. barrow town centre is full of them. loads of Chinese and kebabs for them.

We have some nesting on the house next door. The racket is a right ball ache. One of the bastard chicks has been trying to pull the rubber seal from the Velux. Id love to be able to shoot the fecking things.

Seagulls are a pest when they move inland

in and in the hot weather we have the windows open and in the morning at 4 am they go mad.

I love birds but not seagulls at 4 am

I dont think inland seagulls actually have any natural predators ?? We considered putting netting over the roof to stop them nesting ??

We had some nested on next doors chimney

I kept scaring them with my fishing pole and they left and have not been back
