I haven't read a magazine for ages. I used to like She in the 70s when it was really ground breaking and interesting but I find that most are too concerned with celebrities now and I don't know who any of them are

I really miss magazines. They used to be good but these days are just full of fashion, celebs and depressing real life stories.

Titz Towers, North Notts

I subscribe to Private Eye and when I worked in an office a chap there used to give me his BBC Science magazine when he was done with it. I used to have a subscription to the BBC History magazine, but it was very hit and miss. The crossword was the best part.

I miss them too. I used to love getting my copy of She and reading on the train to work. I learned a huge amount about sex from Dr David Delvin, it had articles from women living in various parts of the world and really informative, interesting stuff as well as fashion etc.

I recall laughing uncontrollably in a crowded carriage when they reprinted a misprint from a newspaper that said "For Sale. Triumph Shitfire" but then I always was easily amused

"Empire its a movie mag.."

Currently working through their top 301 films. Already seen 211 of them, but figure it's as good an excuse as any to revisit some classics!

The only bit I liked in she magazine in the 70s, early 80s was Dr. Delvin.

used to make me realy horny.

I agree with you about the magazines now being too much about celebs that's why I don't buy them.

I read the Look magazine only because I miss having a magazine and I quite like it as just something to flick through and not read

MAMOBA, miles and miles of bugger all (Aberdeenshire)

Holiday treat is a trashy ladies mag, so don't often buy... but sheesh, they are more and more adverts every time I buy them - they get paid for adverts and then charge me a fortune to read the damn things, talk about ice to eskimos. I'm not into celeb culture so don't even know who half the folk in them anymore are.

Do enjoy a read of my dad's country walking magaine tho, and have been known to read national geographic etc too.

Same here, but at the doctor's or dentist's, I tend not to frequent hairdressers too often lol. Most of those are at least 5 years out of date though

I don't buy magazines, I think they're a waste of money. I keep trying to convince my mum not to buy a TV guide ( there's a joke to be made ) and use the guide on the Telly set, she never will.
