No wonder our emergency rooms are so stretched when you have people arriving with a stubbed toe and another with slight tummy ache. Over 4 hrs waiting with my son who had chest pains and trouble breathing.

Thankfully nothing serious for him but the staff took so much verbal abuse from afore mentioned patients

sorry I just needed to vent. Feel better now.

I work in the nhs at MRI and fully understand. We are so stretched it's unbelievable and when you get genuine cases like yours it seriously pisses off all A&E staff with the mouthy twats we have to deal with. Pleased all ok with yours. The NHS is bloody wonderful but so taken advantage of.

. Here here..well said..I also work for NHS. Not only do you get mouthy twats in a&e but you get patients on wards thinking its a hotel when you are seeing to a very poorly patient in bed next to them,,,,,and we have to contend with this heat too .glad to hear wasn't serious with you .

I have never pissed off and nhs staff when ive been to hospital but on one occasion when I went their for a injury I got playing rugby some gobby yob was giving greif to the receptionist and she was upset so my rugby mates went up to him and threw him out !

i can see how it happens in all honesty ..as not a frequent user of the nhs ...i was very confused when i recently tried to use it ...a walk in centre told me to go to a gp ...who told me to go to a &e as my temperature was dangerously high ...who then was more interested in who suggested i went to a&e ...than treating the problem ...its a shambles of a system now !

I recently broke my foot, and you could see it was broken from a mile off it was so swollen i looked like i had a fake hobbit foot on lol, but there was some teen girl scooting round with one shoe on (walking normally) winging its taking forever and her foot is broken and she's dying etc. I was so annoyed by her as you could see there was nothing wrong with it. Wasn't even limping. That was walk in centre treatable. But the doc said himself its not always the drinks and addicts that clog the nhs up
