Do you mean actual lavender in a field? Or is it code for something else?

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

I like lavender (as some know, I squirt it on my bed) but a whole field might be a little overwhelming.

If you find one that allows visitors let us know.

Not in Derbyshire but there's one between York and Scarborough not far from castle Howard.

I was merely monitoring the thread in case someone mentioned a field in Derbyshire.

As lavender relaxes you and aids sleep it might not be the best thing. Rosemary would be better (although it might lead to some thinking they were getting MFF).

You come trundling over the Pyrenees...wind down the zig zig roads...and out into the dry yellow plains of Spain...wind down your window...and that smell hits you...that wonderful smell of lavender and rosemary. One of those lovely smells that reminds me of being abroad

We both hate the smell of strong Lavender as It gives us a headache. BTW if you look at lavender up close you will see bugs living in it and bees clinging to it.

Doing the bee thing, polinating and taking the nectar back? Lavender honey sounds lovely.

Central

Definitely worth a visit if you love the fragrance. France here or elsewhere is great to look and smell on a hot summers day.
