I don't, but I have been contemplating this, could do with the extra cash and would be a lot of fun if rules were established before hand.

I've already got the room advertised on a letting site but have to say telling to a fellow swinger does sound appealing lol

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

Absolutely no way. Too much crossover.

If you let the room and the tenant turns out to be a swinger that's a different thing.

Having someone who can pay and treat your home with respect is more important.

I've not advertised yet, thought of coming home to a stranger turns me off but if its of opposite sex and a swinger, technically it could be beneficial in more ways than just financial. Rules though definitely should be agreed on before hand. What's expected and what's not. Would never rent to a bloke after previous experiences and that's just my brother

Of course, goes without saying that the rules of treating my home with respect apply and I wasn't thinking of it as a way of getting fun out of it, quiet the opposite in fact, just thought it would make for happy house sharing if it was someone with the same outlook xx

Read the forum a bit more: swingers don't share the same outlook.

there's a different between renting a room out to a genuine friend who's a swingers and looking for a lodger who swings

I think just one of me at mine is enough. Letting by the hour could be something you could consider though.

I think if you're letting a room to someone its best if its a stranger, someone you can establish rules for straight off and have no trouble reinforcing if you have to.

Good grief no!

And neither would I let to a friend. In the past, I let a room to a work mate - which went pear shaped, and was a bad atmosphere at work until he left (didn't help that after I leased him the room, I was promoted to his boss) He was young, daft and very inconsiderate.

I've also let to a friend of a friend that didn't work out much better - friend being put in an awkward position when the chancer didn't want to pay his rent/share of the bills, and actually left me with massive debts - phonebill and repairs that his deposit did not cover.

Actually, thinking of it, there actually isn't any way I would lease out a room again - to anyone, so the only person I will ever live with now is my son.
