Pinterest is a company that provides an Internet service that they describe as a visual discovery tool. People use Pinterest to collect ideas for projects and interests. Users create and share collections (called “boards”) of visual bookmarks (called “Pins”) that they use to do things like plan trips, develop projects, organize events or save articles and recipes. There is also a like feature to save certain pins that may not fit with a board. The site was founded by Ben Silbermann, Paul Sciarra and Evan Sharp. It is managed by Cold Brew Labs and funded by a small group of entrepreneurs and investors. (Courtesy of Wikipedia)

But what's the question here?????

Well Thankyou very much I knew some of that already.

The question is what's you're thoughts on it??? Simple enough question!

I'm new to it and asking for people's views.

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

Sounds like the internet to me. I don't use things like that partly because I worry about putting all of my many interests in one place.

I'd worry about what interests I'm putting down.

I'm getting the impression it's bit like Instagram as in the lay out, it can be secret or not, up to individual... I enjoy seeing others ideas.

I used it when planning our wedding. If I saw a table arrangement or bouquet that I liked I pinned it to my board.

It meant when I went to visit different venues or suppliers I had all my ideas in one place and made it easy to get across what I was looking for from them.

I'm now looking for tattoo ideas so I have boards for those that I can keep referring to.

I too am investigating tattoos but all I've done is copy and paste from the Internet onto a word document. I dont do social media.

They used to be called "tips" but now it's cool to call them life hacks (I'm so down with the kids! )

Things like using a magazine rack inside a cupboard door to hold tin foil etc

I love it... and I don't do that facebook crap...

But make sure you don't get pintrest envy...

It's a recognised condition where people are envious of the skills that other people have...

If you like collecting shit that you like to look at and learn just so that people can see what you're into, it's alright.

If you're like me, use google and then stick to putting favourites in the little Bookmark option in your internet explorer, it's kinda pointless
