A" My experience is that when I am free they are not - hence the weeks of trying to get a meet sorted. If I find myself suddenly free I can never get a meet with someone I want to meet. If they both said they happened to be free I would say yes to the one that responded first.

"Normally a patient one, the one that is not all talk. And still enjoys a message or two still knowing they have to hang on a bit. Tells a bit about a person to me that. Her" Snap. No patience equals no meet and they can go fuck themselves instead

"The one that is free that day. Drop them both a line. If one is free? Decision made! If both? Dilemma!!! Tricky decision or both? " It's the tricky decisions I am often faced with. Patient vs keen. Local/reliable vs hot. Convenience vs intrigue. Aaargh!

"Your status update! "The squeak hinge gets the oil!!" Personally I think being in the moment is more important -in play- than rewarding patience. You gotta strike while the iron is hot! This is pure luck, sometimes schedules just don't match, weeks pass without meeting and the initial excitement is gone. " Yes, that's what usually happens and some poor patient guy gets left waiting again and then they message me and say 'Are you free yet?' and I feel bad!

"It's a very interesting dilemma from a male perspective too. Because for the patient one they have to work out how to maintain freshness to stimulate enough interest to be front of mind when opportunity arises, without becoming boring or pushy and a pain in the arse. Whereas the fresh new face doesn't have that ussue but needs to establish trust and credibility quickly. Patience over a long time is a real challenge and my guess often goes unrewarded in reality because the initial spark gets extinguished by the fresh flood of a new passion " Yes, exactly so, I can see it is very hard to pitch, I often think 'If only you'd kept in touch!'. People complain about being lost in the bottom of inboxes, but quite a few men 'fail to close' in my experience, particularly guys nearer my age. The young bloods are full of testosterone and enthusiasm, and act like they're gonna die if you don't meet them TODAY!!!! Hehe, I confess I love it, but engaging my mind and my emotions to more depth will always hold my attention.

Whereas there's a challenge for those who do keep in touch to keep it fresh. It is easy over a longer period of months say for them, especially if it's just messaging, to become dull unless they continually reinvent new ways of grabbing your attention
