My slot is 8am-1pm still no sign and the rooter that was supposed to have been delivered 2 days prior is still not here! Took a day off work for this!! Grrr

Shoukd I ask for some sort of compensation if they don't turn up and no rooter arrives??

Depends what the agreement is they could just cancel if you go down that route. However if they don't arrive they need a good explanation.
