Prosciutto is italian. If you want the best ham you want jamon di iberico. Which is spanish.

Jamon Pata Negra. Is the best. Made from free range boar that have been feed on chestnuts for last 6 months of its life.

Know what you mean, those alternate slices are a bugger for making sandwiches with cant cut them and if you try to fold the edges in it flings the top slice off the sarni.
