Need to know basis

I see 'just finding my feet' written often on profiles and it made me wonder what that might mean??

The only time I lost sight of mine was when I was heavily pregmant and looking like a Sumo wrestler...they just vanished

Not seen anyone lose feet.

But there's a few that seem to have lost a couple of inches since writing their profile text!

This made be giggle.. so many phrases in the english language I just don't get... "Bob's your uncle" for instance... who is Bob and why does the fact that he is my uncle mean a task is complete?

It comes from Lord Salisbury finding lots of jobs for his relatives.
