What do you think?

I'd say that the order the options to select goes in is smallest to largest (although fabulous is a bit of a contentious one!) so it's fairly obvious that ample is bigger than large.

Not really sure what you need help with to be honest?

In fairness to the OP, it is not another size (ist) thread...but an enquiry......something I was wandering about recently.

Yes, you can look at pics but most of the size range he is talking about are very creative in their angles.

I looked at one profile where, if you pieced together all 14 pics ( of hands, 3 of feet in shoes,2 of legs from the knee down, of tattoos etc), then you still didnt have a clue that she was the size 22 that she helpfully stated she was. Some ladies are not so helpful.

I completely understand that we need to show ourselves in the best light, but if you are not indicating dress sizes then a full length pic would help enormously.

If all sizes are subjective on here, then some objective measure is needed. Doesnt a FLP or dress size help all involved ?

Just saying......

I've put myself down as curvy and no one has ever taken issue with me on it. I have, however, had two people message me this week who were disappointed when they found out the boobies are off of ebay, though.

I call myself large because that is what I am, yes some call it curvy and yes I do go in and out but mostly out, I go from a size 18/20 depending if I am exercising or not, I have never been slim and I probably never will be and you can tell from my pics I am not trying to disguise anything. It it strange though that on quite a few occasions I have been told I'm not big enough, so on the size issue one mans meat is definitely another mans sexual fantasy

They say everything is about presentation. Also the brain is the biggest sexual organ in the body.

Words can bring on a sexual response which starts in the brain. For me the word large sexually means nothing. But ample and curvy start those sexual juices and thoughts going . I'm feeling horny now just writing them. lol

On here large is bigger than ample

It goes something like slim, athletic, average, curvy, ample, large, fabulous on the listing for body type

However what one person calls curvy is different to what another person calls curvy for instance.

That's why I clearly state my size, let everyone know upfront that I'm a fatty then if it's not for them they can walk on by

Personally no. I think over a 16/18 and you are heading into fat territory. But then again it depends on the persons height and build etc. Lots of variables to consider.

Does it really matter how a person chooses to describe their body size/shape. If a profile has pics, look at them & if you like what you see all well and good, if not look at other profiles until you find what you are looking for.

As for the issue of camera angles, its not only women who use these to mislead!!

Lol I don't know, not a Dr but some women can carry weight and BMI better than others so (and in fear of making yet another supposedly contradictory statement ) i guess opinions on when someone is fat should use visual cues as well as those calculated by scales and charts.

We all know the argument regarding BMI and body builders.

I don't know the hierarchy of 'fatness' but I just use large on our profile as there's no ambiguity. Large is what it is. Is fabulous really a body size or type?

If we were meeting privately again I'd state quite clearly what my dress size was - and there are photos to show I'm not slim by any stretch of the imagination.

Saved me typing!

no one will ever agree on what size makes someone 'fat', that's why there are body types to choose from ~ choose the one that suits you best.

I don't think ample is bigger than large as ample means large/more than enough.

As to having four words for fat it would seem even that is not enough.

I use fat and leave it up to the _iewer to decide the degree of fat.

"

But it's open to interpretation - ample can also mean 'enough' or generously proportioned. A meal can be ample (sufficient) but a large meal can be thought of as a bit of a pig-out. Large isn't open to interpretation - it is what it is.

I think the bottom line is that someone's size and whether that size is sexually attractive is in the eye of the beholder - not the describer.

Ample needs fully before it to be sufficient, I believe. An ample sufficiency means there is more than enough.

The Centre of the Universe

We all seem to want to conform to social labels. Also one person thinks someone is large and they are another persons perfect size.

Which is why asking Ash won't work (sorry mate). Because of the above.

We all have a size in mind but if you click with someone outside that range then size goes out the window. It's all about attraction

I chose ample in the descriptions because, although I am overweight, I'm a small person so describing myself as large doesn't work in my mind.

Of course at the time of choosing I was unaware of the Ash-body-type-scale and will of course defer to this superior method of fatty detection.

This made me giggle!

If they had an option for 'fat' I wouldn't use it even though I am. This is supposed to be a site where you promote yourself as a prospective sexual partner and the word 'fat' just isn't sexy. There are better, more tactful ways of saying you're overweight. It's a bit like Volvo using the strap line 'boxy - but good'. It might be true but it probably wouldn't do their sales figures any favours. I think the ultimate aid in deciding whether someone is a size you find attractive is _iewing their pictures or asking for some body shots if they aren't on their profile. Too fat for your liking? Then it's irrelevant whether they've put 'average' or 'curvy' - they're to big for YOU.

"Yes when the word fat would do

Even that is subjective though. I know people who think being over a size 14 makes them fat.

it does don't it?

Personally no. I think over a 16/18 and you are heading into fat territory. But then again it depends on the persons height and build etc. Lots of variables to consider.

Taking into consideration just your opinion doesn't conclude the discussion though.

I never said it did

Fat territory if you are over a 16/18 seems an opinion of a closed mind to me.

What?!

Oh please...discuss the variables etc...yet you still come out with that small minded statement.

"In fairness to the OP, it is not another size (ist) thread...but an enquiry......something I was wandering about recently.

I remember once someone going on about how you can tell what type of women men like by the most fab'd pics and they are mostly slim women

which is true, but maybe that's more because slim ladies tend to show full body pics where as big women tend to show really close up pics so you cant make much out, why would anyone fab that? maybe if more big ladies did show full bodies instead of a close up crack that could be either a cleavage or a arse who knows more would be on the most fab'd

But as a ratio of number of full bodied women with full body shots...it is very low.

As I said earlier, I saw a profile of a size 22 lady that had no discernable body parts except ankles, hands, lips (alot of mouth close ups) etc.

I have no issue with anything said on here....people have a right to their taste.....but as 'look at the pics' is a common disclaimer I am just saying that they are not always clear.

If I like girls up to a certain size and arrange a meet with a lady whose wrist size doesnt offend. I then meet her and she is too big for me. What do I say ?

'Sorry your wrists are beautiful but .........'

You see the dilemma. I know that a lot of ladies do display all of themselves in all their glory and I know some are not comfortable with that.

So how about, if you dont display a full length pic, you quote a dress size ? Get rid of all these subjective classifications and end the confusion that gave rise to this thread and the numerous ones before.

"And you both should be applauded (or given lots of oral as a reward) for your openness.

Not all ladies are as confident but they should be. There is always someone that will find you attractive but not everyone likes a suprise at a meet.

I send my face pic in every first message I send for just that reason. "

I would feel less confident about meeting someone if I hadn't given a true representation of myself.

I've met lots of people at socials who are nothing like the way they portray themselves in their photos

I mean a woman of natural bodyshape...un changed by athletic activities, or overeating. Average changes with age but is still smaller than the norm in the western world.

Look back to 75% of uk women in the 70s....thats average.

I am overweight, I have no shame in saying that as I'm currently trying to do something about it....however regardless of my dress size or the excess padding I might be carrying I class myself as curvy.

Reason for this is that I have a typical hourglass figure, albeit with more cushion.

This is clearly put on my profile, i'm not trying to deceive anyone but at the same time I want to stay away from negative terms such as "fat"...yes it is just a word but in my opinion it's a negative one.

Despite how I may feel about my body from time to time I want to be seen as a happy, positive and confident person coz to me those are more appealing qualities over someone who self deprecates and puts themselves down.

"

With a topic like this at the end of the day it is very subjective. As the saying goes "one persons trash is another person's treasure"

Someone may look at me and call me fat, somebody else may look at me and call me curvaceous....what's important is how we see ourselves and being comfortable in our own skin!

but fat is a word to describe someone with excess flesh curvy isn't. I would say curvy is a subjective word and fat is an accurate word. Am I carrying excess flesh. The answer is yes therefore I'm fat. Very simple definition. Curvy just means different things to different people

Natural shape, but no athletic activities?

That's quite a contradiction

Not really. Thats when athletic becomes applicable. Normal daily life and a healthier diet than many eat today will result in a natural figure.

Add athletic pursuits and then more muscle is developed and lower still body fat levels are reached.

"But not if the pics are of ankles and wrists.

As those with slim bodies tend to have full length pics, I suppose you can tell if a lady is big by which small parts of her body she reveals in her pics.

Just a thought "

That's why I only have one pic.

Nope given natural consists of considerable amounts of athletic activity.

Lethargic life is not natural.

ive noticed that too

I remember once someone going on about how you can tell what type of women men like by the most fab'd pics and they are mostly slim women

which is true, but maybe that's more because slim ladies tend to show full body pics where as big women tend to show really close up pics so you cant make much out, why would anyone fab that? maybe if more big ladies did show full bodies instead of a close up crack that could be either a cleavage or a arse who knows more would be on the most fab'd

also just a thought "

I have full shots. And I'm no skinny minny
