Can any of you ladies recommend some 'sweat proof' make up? I am fed up of spending half an hour doing up my face only for it all to end up in my cleavage an hour later

I find Estée Lauder double wear to be the best set with a little double wear powder as well but nothing is altogether sweat proof

Actually works....

I do it anytime I wear make up for a night out. I don't even take the make up out with me for touch ups.

There are actual products for this from lots of make up ranges, but having tried a few of them. Hairspray works better

Makeup Kit

clown white greasepaint (Mehron, Steins, etc.)

color palette with red and one or two more colors

eyeliner pencils for outlining

powder rouge with brush applicator

small baby oil or cleansing creme

powder socks

soft brushes

mirror

roll of paper towels

spray bottle with water

sponge or rubber nose (if desired)

box to carry supplies/kit

Naturally, you will want to personalize your own makeup kit. However, we have found that the above mentioned items come in handy, especially when dressing and undressing away from home. Take everything you might need with you in a small, compact kit.

Makeup Application Procedure

1. Clean face and neck.

2. Apply coat of clown white over all exposed areas of neck and face. Do not apply too thick (gummy) or too thin (can see flesh through).

3. Powder with sock by patting all areas covered.

4. Brush off excess powder, spray with fine mist, and dab dry.

5. Place mouth, eyes, and other features on top of the white makeup-using Q-tips, eye shadow applicators, or your finger for application.

6. Powder with other sock, brush off excess, spray with mist, and dab dry.

7. After all colors are finished, outline the features and make accent marks with the eyeliner pencil.

8. Glue on the nose with liquid latex.

I apply a hydra primer before applying my foundation. A light moisturiser, like the Vitamin E spray from bodyshop is great.

I often use some waterproof products from Smashbox and Urban Decay. They come off easily with oil based cleansers.

You may want to get a Pericone pore minimiser, that will help with the sweat glands.

Hairpray is often touted as a solution to keeping your look, but I think we already shove enough muck on our skin, so wouldnt recommend it. Find a good primer that works for your skin, as that helps alot. I prefer light coverings, and use brushes to cover than thick paste type coatings. Maybelline often used as a good fall back. If you use tan type dustings, creating a sun kissed look, I find I can use less foundation too, and it can produce a natural skin glow look, perhaps the illusion of makeup free, if it works well. There are times Im a bit caked, and others I just want to let my skin breathe well. If Ive moisturised well all day, I use less prior to make up, and always non greasy. Last resort is sand paper - fine grain mind - to help it key on well.

I don't really have much of a problem with make up sliding off, it just seems to stay put. Using good quality products will be better though.

I've never heard of the hairspray tip before but I am going to try it out.

Put your make up in fridge and use a little dusting of shinde free pressing powder

Take a mist spray ,like a face set for cooling,the was a make up spray like a hair spray that set the make up on.

Set your foundation with some loose powder.

As the evenin wears on use powder free shine papers to remove any oil that seeps through. Kleenex do them as do boots, just press over your your make up to lift any oil/sweat and it will help.

Avoid pressed powder as the caking agent they use to hold it together can make your make up look heavy. Apply loose powder with a large brush in a light layer.

Yes loose pressed powder is best as it sets your make,and many years of experiance in hot countries,also many years of playing with make up.
