Titz Towers, North Notts

A friend of mine has recently bought a new car. It is a lively shade of green. Possibly best described as a jazzy shade of Shamrock Green.

My gaffer declared that he wouldn't be able to live with that colour and would have it resprayed immediately.

Does anyone else have such strong feelings about the colour of their car? I'd be quite happy driving a pink and yellow striped car if I liked the car.

What you're describing sounds like the Blobbymobile... Though you'd prefer leopard print wouldn't you?!

Truro

I'm colour blind so, no, it wouldn't put me off.

However I've picked up shirts while out shopping with Kate and she's said plenty of times, "You're not going out with me wearing that"

I think the sort of person who couldn't live with a car because of it's colour probably wouldn't be my first choice as a crisis companion.....

The colour of a car IS important. A puce colour Aston Martin is never going to as bigger hit as a Silver one.

I would never buy a blue car after having several dreams that I would die in one

Somewhere in North Norfolk

I won't have a black car.

I love the colour of my current car, (pearly mint greeny-blue colour).

I'm looking at a new one on Monday. It's red. I'm not sure I want a red car.

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

I just wouldn't but it if I didn't like the colour. If I had to use it then that's a different matter.

It matters you only have to look how it affects resale values. British Leyland in the 70's embarked on painting cars every shade of dogshit imaginable and look what happened to them. There area lot of colors i wouldn't have including brown.

No colour doesn't put me off at all but certain cars do look better in certain colours (take the Aston Martin example).

Colour would be a decisive factor when buying a car as i'd want to be able to get rid of easily in a years time.

Much depends of the car. The Ford Focus ST looks quite good in that dayglow green, my Alfa would look shit in it.

Personally I like black or red. The interior colour is also critical...
