I'm not sure eclectic is the word I would have chosen.

I've put the ice blocks that go in the freezer bags in my bed to cool it down before I get in.

You can also fill hot water bottles with icy water, hope that may help someone. Im in my bedroom sauna with just a sheet. Though thunder promises it may cool down a little with the rain.

Cannot have window open as on a main road unfortunately which is also a bus route through the estate which starts at 5.30 am and finishes around 11.30 pm, too much noise for me especially as I am right opposite the bus terminus and the drivers don't always switch their engines off
