Ditto. Bit of sun at 4pm-ish but apart from that its been a cool, dull, drizzly day. Like most July days I guess

I've just found a web page that shows lightning and storms as they happen. It is currently just moving onto the South coast of Britain. Should hit me in the next few hours or so!

Google real-time lightning map if interested!

I'm just a weather geek. I like bizarre weather patterns.

Not again Spent most of the early hours trying to calm the poor dogs down and prise them out from under the beds.

It was like being inside a tin can with dried peas. The whole house was lighting up

I remember it was high summer in the peak district 25 plus years ago a lovely day

blue skies alround me and warm not sure

What made me turn round but when doing so

I could make out a band of cloud low down

Arriveing fast and i knew I had to find

Cover quick very luckily for me I was heading for habitation I just made it to

A farm house and under the shelter of a

Barn not inside thou and no sooner had I

Had a terrific thunderstorm unleased

And has I was still high up in the Terrain It was almost like looking down

Through it has it monsooned and thundered and lightened it soon went

Through but it was quite dramatic to see

A storm arrive like that I realised how

Lucky I was not to have been to far out

on the moor and as it was a rogue Thunderstorm no mention of it was said

by forecasters before I think michael

Fish was still around then....
