Not saying I've out in weight but we get issues combat trousers at work and the waist button has popped off and I've got another 50 minutes at work I've tries staples any other ideas ?

No safety pins, went to maintenance they go home early on a Friday so no zip tie will just have to hold myself up

Unwind a paperclip till you have a long straight length.

Bend it so you have a long u shape.

From the back (this is important so you don't cut yourself whilst wearing it) work the two ends through the fabric where you want the button.

Thread the button onto the two ends and down so it's against the fabric.

Twist the two ends to secure the button in place, leave a little slack so you can fasten the button. Make sure the sharp bits are twisted under.

Fasten your button as usual.
