it's bloody impossible !!

Wont bore everyone but have a rant & the basics are this - flat mate (nothing going on between us) confides in me about probs with bf. I trying to be a gent and good flat mate listen. 6 hours of it and late into last night she comes to the conclusion it's over...

...today i get home and they are a couple and she's forgiven his 'extra relationship activities'

WTD im utterly confused not to mention tired from the lack of sleep

Titz Towers, North Notts

I used to have a friend who I privately thought of as the washing machine. She had a cycle. She'd meet a guy, flirt with him for a week, start seeing him, have a nice week, begin to see faults, complain of faults then dump him. This occurred most months and as I sat next to her at work she always told me all about it. After a couple of years I got to the point where I knew the script pretty well.

With my male friends it was the same. Most of them had a cycle, but it was on a fast spin, so this only lasted a couple of weeks, rather than a month.

Usually we are good at seeing other people's lives clearly & giving great advice , but when it comes to our own we have no logic!

Catch up on your Zzzz's & maybe soon she'll see the light !

Cheers all

Just needed to get it out my head. Thankfully some lovely words of wisdom have cleared my head and taught me not to bother with her emotional trip.

As much i'd be glad to see her in a secure relationship it's her journey and she'll have to learn her own way. Just as long (& i hate to say this cause its not normally me) she doesn't count on me being there to confide in all the time cause i really like my sleep

Sometimes if we love someone so much we don't want to look like we have failed so women and men can just stay with someone for the sake of it despite being fully aware of how the relationship is about to be a massive doom x

I wouldn't try if I was you but some consolation to you is many women don't understand men either.

No i was a friend she confided in and if she wants to have him back it's her choice. It is difficult to end things sometimes and have been through the pain so can empathise with her but in the end she's a grown woman and it's her decision. I'm just gonna keep well away from it

Don't get involved tell her anything so you don't have to as you will be to blame if it goes wrong relationship advice is a hiding to nothing you only have to look at the forum relationships that have hit the manure pile.

Next time (because no doubt they'll be a next time) just tell her to talk to him about it

Sometimes you just can't help people where blind love is concerned

Some would rather be with the wrong one than no one. Never understood it myself. I'd rather be on my own and happy that with someone who makes me miserable, but some fear being alone and put up with being unhappy instead

But that's not because you don't understand women, it's because you don't understand this woman. We aren't all the same and Mr Suki I know that you know that xx
