South West London / Surrey

I have ed and tidied up our front garden this morning. It looks lovely now even if I do say so myself.

I'm too hot to start on the back garden so that can wait till the weekend.

Once you get going, your be fine. You might even enjoy it. I find gardening really relaxing...

You could maybe go and appreciate someone else's garden. Google "Abbey House Garden" - I see Google have put a picture of me on the info pane!

Central

To get the best Forsythia flowers next spring, you'd ideally prune after flowering - but they're fairly resilient plants, and you'll probably get a good enough display.

I minimise garden activity in the heat though, as keeping cool is my top priority.

Not having too many butterflies on the Buddleia this year, though it looks awesome.

My bird of paradise is pushing erections up, so will have some late summer flowers.

We've had lots of butterflies on our buddleia this year - red admirals and tortoiseshells mostly
