yachting in gosport

No not a new sex craze.

I am doing a 5 day sailing course that goes from brighton, and finishes up in gosport. The tutors keep saying how interesting it is there with the tides and currents, just curious what am I letting myself in for.

Have a look at a tidal curve for Portsmouth - it's not the usual shape.

A double peak high tide curve and it's damn busy x excellent experience I sailed to the Isle of wight for my comp crew xx

Thanks, I heard it is a bit unusual or that was the term for sailing round that area. Any help would be very greatful. not going to be able to see the tidal curve or charts till we get on the boat, as stilm doing theory and looking at practice charts 3 & 4.
