Liverpool places to meet

I was wondering if anyone knows of any good bars/Pubs in Liverpool that are good for meeting like minded people that regularly use for e.g the Fabswingers site?

You have probably got to check out the listings for clubs, such as the Townhouse. Otherwise, you could be chatting to a friendly couple in a regular pub, about to slip a hand under the table, and find they were just welcoming a newbie to their local. Could save some red faces and slapped fingers.
