It saddens me the way some Fabbers use blanket statements based on one or two bad experiences. As a single man on here I am constantly included in nasty comments that single guys are ALL wasters or messers. I'm not so I resent the statement.

I politely answer questions that Fabbers ask in their status but in the majority of cases get no response.

My Mum used to say "manners cost nothing".

On the other hand the people I class as Fab-Friends are brilliant and make it worth staying here.

Intelligent people know that all those blanket statements are a load of crap and they're able to work out who's decent and who isn't

If it's not applicable to you why worry? If someone says something that *could* include me but doesn't, my response is "they're not talking about me!" and the earth continues to turn!

Only you can choose whether or not generalisations upset you or not.

Blanket statements are in essence used by small minded people so just ignore them.

Pissing on the group statements are often problematic, as implied members of the group pissed on ask "do they mean me?"

It's a good idea to have an umbrella if you don't want to be pissed on

A lot of wind up mechants haunt social media. Probably the safest place for them, given that they would get a punch in the face if spouting that guff in ordinary conversation.

I always bear that thought in mind when reading certain comments.

Central

I dont think in all my years on fab I have seen any universal condemnations for any gender or marital/swinging statuses. They would not be accepted as truthful, and as much as someone may be messed about, they would realise it could not be true for all similar people. As a single guy you will likely get most messages unanswered. And quite a few blocks will happen as a result. This is not because those users are rude etc, but because it is a norm for use on here. If anyone slurs others but you know this does not apply to you, then ignore and carry on. Life is to short to ponder and agonise on difficulties, other than to make the most of what you have. And culture great relationships on here - the rest dont matter at all, they are not for you.

I might post a new thread asking if I should stay on fab. Wondering if the flood of supportive posts can sway my decision ?

Then again might as well stay and keeping fabbing the pics
