Brighton - even Hove!

Now you'll never know

Let's help J out and suggest some questions the gentleman might have asked...

Let's see: "when you orgasm do you howl like a wolf or yelp like a seal?"

Somewhere in North Norfolk

They usually ask me "can I ask you a question?" and I go all pedantic and reply "I don't know, can you?"

Most don't understand what I mean, so it's largely wasted.

Ah, that's cos they already have so you could answer 'yes you can' then when they ask you their real question, you reply 'no, you only wanted to ask A (singular) question'. Now THAT'S being pedantic!

He got back in touch. I wish his question had been as original as yours.

Ah but, but...

'Can I ask you a question?' means 'Am I able to ask you a question?' so the answer would be something like "Apparently so".

'Can I ask' and 'May I ask' mean different things.

I'm more pedantic than yowwww!

You may take the opportunity to request. I shall consider but will take it under advisement. More specifics would be useful; I'm not the kind of girl who enjoys nostril penetration attempts.

The above would be my answer.

I wonder if the question involves the reason someone was refused a flat?
