Does it make a difference being varified or not?

As a couple we feel that we have made that extra effort to show fab and all the members that we are happy to prove that we are who we say we are, ie a genuine couple and not some sad single guy pretending.

We have also opened all our photos to show there is nothing to hide and that we are happy for people to see who we are due to the fact we are open and honest people.

So does this make a difference and does being varified make a difference.

to me it does, being a single female with limited free time id fine it reassuring to actually chat to someone who turns up, is what they claim to be and that looks like the pics shown.

of course i use my noggin for the most part and use common sense but its good to get a bit of confirmation from others too

I think you have answered your own question, in that you can prove you are not some single guy pretending to be a fem or a couple. Verified isn't the be all and end all to prove who someone is, it is just an extra factor that members can consider, on top of all the other checks and balances you might want to do (phone call, Skype, cam chat etc) to help you decide whether you are going to spend the time chatting and arranging to meet someone. So yes, it does have value.

Some of my best meets have been with unverified men...however I'm a nosey cow and do like to read verifications as I like to stay away from the pissing up the lamp post ones

To me it just shows they are who they say they are as I've been let down by verified people. I generally go with my gut instinct about people and that works well for me.

If someone isn't then it does especially if its a couple or a single female as there are a lot that aren't what they say they are. Saying that you can always chat pt people on cam if you are unsure so maybe verifications are more a 2009 thing and less relevant now.

I think it does. I like writing verifications for people I've met. To me the challenge is to be accurate, but novel in writing them.

To me it makes a difference yes, even just being photo verified makes a difference...I think it depends on how many fakes you've bumped into along the way...one of my best meets was with an unverified couple on here but unfortunately because of tossers I've had to block new and unverified people...never used to make a difference to me but it certainly does now which is a shame as we've all been the unverified newbie...just no way of getting rid of all the fake losers on here though!

I think being varified means your making the effort to provide information via photographic evidence that you are who you say you are so others using fab can feel that they are chatting with who they think they are chatting to.

My concerns about unvarified members is that if they have not made the effort to varify their account how do you know your chatting to an adult, it's so easy to sent up an account here which maybe fab needs to step up on only letting varified members have access to all photos.

The verification system is a very useful tool, you can find out alot about the person sending and receiving the verification from simply reading them, however this doesnt mean an unverified member isnt going to be genuine as that 1st verification has to come from somewhere, also just because a person is verified doesnt mean they are gonna turn up to a meet you arrange with them, so although the current verification system is a very useful tool, thats what it is, a tool, you still need to use your own selection process and have your own ways to be as successful as you possibly can.
