Sex or Love?

I have a problem and I was wondering if anyone else on here agrees.

Love and sex (well good sex, naughty sex, experimental sex) seem to be mutually exclusive to me.

I find it difficult to talk openly and be myself in the bedroom when I have feelings for someone but adversely I have the best sex ever with people who are practically strangers.

I think the difference is that on a site like this I can talk openly and earnestly about what I'd like to do and that leads to building up some trust and getting I know other peoples desires. I just can't seem to do it with a woman that I'm emotionally invested in.

It's annoying!

Does anyone else experience the same?

Nope. 2wheels is the first partner who I have felt completely comfortable with sharing all of my fantasies and secrets. I love exploring together, either as a couple or as two halves of a couple enjoying ourselves with friends.

If I wasn't getting good sex and experimenting, I wouldn't stay in a relationship as I need it all to be happy.

They don't have to be mutually exclusive and my experience of the best sex has been in a loving relationship.

Find out what it is that is your underlying issue and enjoy both.

All I know is when there is a sexual connection that's electric it's amazing!! Whether that's from meeting someone on here or with a partner. Iv experienced both.

Seems I may be alone in this. I guess the issue is communication. Maybe I'm worried about telling someone I care about, all of my darkest desires and fantasies in case I offend or upset.

Oh well, next time I will take the plunge, until then I will just enjoy the sex!

There's nothing to say that love means you HAVE to share everything about yourself but your desires would be one of those things that I believe leads to deep and true love.

Without sharing you are withholding something fundamental about yourself and putting up a barrier to closeness.

The best sex for me is when I am in love and it is reciprocated, then anything us possible. And it's soooo far superior to any kind of casual sex, even with a fwb, that I've given up swinging completely. I'm still here, but just chatting to friends, and enjoying the forums.
