In your eyes who is the greatest movie villain of all time?

That lollipop man on Chitty Chitty Bang Bang used to give me the heebie jeebies.

As an adult, lots to choose from but I'll go for Kevin Spacey in Se7en.

My top five would have to be:

5) Catherine Tramell (Sharon Stone in Basic Instinct) purely because she was fucking sexy and terrifying at the same time.

4) Hans Lansa (Christoph Waltz in Basterds) for being the first one to be able to truly understand the language that is Tarantino and pulling off an absolute master class.

3) Commodus (Joaquin Phoenix in Gladiator) because it's Gladiator.

2) John Doe (Spacey in Se7en) because it was both the first Spacey film and thriller I ever watched, and I instantly fell in love with him after that.

1) The Joker (Ledger). I'm just a massive comic book geek and a huge Ledger fan. He totally smashed it out of the park and I don't think anyone could ever come close to delivering as fucked up a performance as that.

Fu Manchu is a brilliant villain, but sadly not heard of much since the 1930s. Ming the Merciless was fantastically over the top in Flash Gordon. Odds Bodkins, it took an entire spaceship in his gut to bump him off!
