Significant Landmark

What would you say was the nearest nationally recognised landmark too where you live…?

Mine would probably be the Angel of the North or Durham Cathedral, although Penshaw Monument would be closer it’s not really a place of national interest.

For us locals would probably be the civic centre clock but not nationally recognised so I might say Buckingham Palace as the nearest

Derby Arboretum is a public arboretum and park in the city of Derby. Located in the Rose Hill area, about a mile south of Derby city centre, it was the first publicly owned, landscaped, urban, recreational park in England. After many years of neglect, the Arboretum has recently been extensively refurbished with the aid of a National Lottery grant of almost £5 million. It is listed on the English Heritage Register of Parks and Gardens of Special Historic Interest in England.
