Should everyone have to be verified ?

was just thinking about this after lookin at some blatantly fake profiles,

as 99% of people have phone cams, web cams, and digi cams i dont think it would be to much trouble for fab to insist that people verfi them selves, esp as fab says u dont have to show ur face,

What do others thinks ?

Wouldn't make any difference - the system is pretty good and as you say the fakes are blatant so why worry? Z

Well as someone once said before "even arseholes get verified" so it will make little difference. I like the way it is. You can be photo verified or person verified and it pretty much works.

I say no, give people a choice. It is up to you to figure out who is fake or not, and lets face it, it is easily done with cams and phones etc.

a photo doesn't tell if they turn up for meets...

a photo doesn't tell me if they are an arse....

all a photo tells me is that you managed to hold up a sign.....

To be totally honest with photoshop people can work wonders there days. Verifications are a guide, nothing more nothing less. They aren't even accurate half the time Half mine are tongue in cheek but they all give a little glimpse of how people feel about you.

I would rather read that the person verified actually turns up and meets people, we all know there are many people out there that never get beyond the camming stage.

Im both verified and certified my doctor said so in a nice letter

Anyway we are both pic verified (by the worlds worse pic of 2 people!!) and social verified.

The pic verification was because no other pic shows us both together, so shows we can be in the same room at the same time.

Social verification proves we are who we say we are and we have turned up when we said we would.

But I would not say everyone else should do as we did cos its their business how they choose to use this site, and for me if I am looking at a profile of someone who has no pics no verifications (not even the pic verification flag thingymabob) and they have been a member for a long time it does set of warning bells in my head. I suppose I use it as a way of ing out the genuine from the wannabes - but again thats just my way of using the system, not everyone else does.
