Luckily never had to use one , although a guy once said he couldn't meet us as he had 24 hours to come up with some money or some guys were going to kill him, so he didn't have time to meet as arranged ......... Think that was a close call

Really

I did a social meet first and on the odd occasion I haven't I wouldn't go through with anything just because I've seen pics and talked on phone. I would just tell them.

Never had to make something up but i can say that there have been a few guys at the last minute text with an excuse. I appear to have killed more grandparents than a cold winter. I always wonder if the grannies would be pleased to know their grandkid killed them off just coz he himself when the time came to meet someone.

If I have to cancel a meet I give as much notice as possible and just say I can't make it any longer.

If it's 2nd thoughts I just says that.....no point in lieing

I chat for ages before agreeing to a meet so I've never cancelled because of cold feet.

I had to cancell because of work once, gave 2 days notice and got blocked

That's not an excuse by the way. Just a status update.

I'd always be honest if I couldn't meet.

We are the same, but the best given to us was from a guy who said he was in A&E as he had got his earphone stuck in his ear

I hate causing offence so I weigh up whether or not my reason for not meeting some one may be perceived as hurtful or not.

If for instance they send a picture which is unattractive I cant see anything to be gained by telling them.
