With all this modern technology around us 24/7 nowadays i was wondering if anyone knew of sum devices or a gadget where u can see where u cat has been or wot it saying to u?

If you want to spend the money on it there are standard industrial modules that are basically a mobile phone and GPS module. They typically get used to keep track and collect data from mobile equipment. For example the Waterways authorities us them to monitor rivers for flooding… dial into a monitor module and it sends them back its exact location, photos/video, water level, flow rate… all clever stuff. BUT if you see a bit of kit like this at a roadside, riverside etc. don’t take it home… the owners will know where to come and find it

There is a cheaper way… google “cat territory” interesting but at the same time rather boring but will make you glad you didn’t bother spending £500 on a wireless/GPS/Video thing

And even more techno-boring… a mate of mine has a Nokia (can’t remember model number) that’s a model up from mine… anyway, its got all the usual stuff and built in GPS. But when you take a photograph it uses its built in GPS to log the global grid reference location that you took the picture… how did we ever manage without such things?

I was watching a programme the other day about voles and they put a camera down a hole with an apple the apple just dissappeared. When they looked at the footage a little vole had carried the whole apple off. You could easily put a little camera round a cats neck. Might do that to my little bugger to see where she goes from one weeks end to the next
