I remember it like it was yesterday...I was meant to of been on a tube to aldgate east at the time of the bombing...training got cancelled instead I was stranded at Vauxhall it was a horrible day...

A close friend got lucky travelling behind the bus in Russell square. He was just far enough back not to be hurt. It was the day after London had won the Olympic bid and the city should have been partying.

Was lucky the ex and I were both on late shifts so were still at home.

A scary day for everyone involved.

I remember trying to get in touch with family members from work. The train home from work that was normally a happy, chatty place was absolutely silent. Manchester City Centre was an unpleasant place to be that day. Everyone looking over their shoulders.

RIP to those who lost their lives 9 years ago.

It was on the news that the memorial in London was vandalised yesterday but theyve been working on it get it ready for today, so it sounds like there may be some sort of memorial service going on later.

If I heard it correctly anyway.

I remember that day very well I worked for London Underground and we was all called into all the stations I was at Russell Square that night when we was all there they asked for volunteers to go down and clear debris and set up lighting ect Something I never wish to experience again in my life, and my heart goes out to all the families that lost loved ones that day r.i.p and god bless

It was a horrible day to be working in London. I had left the London underground three years previously and had driven the bombed Piccadilly line train hundreds of time. I saw my mates on the news bringing bodies and the walking wounded to the surface. As a black cab driver I was getting calls from stranded friends and family and taking them home then going back in fmore. I worked for sixteen hours that day taking all sorts of people home, people were sitting on the floor and in the luggage compartment. It was just fill the cab up and get people home. I and many other cabbies didn't charge for any of the journeys but local mini cab firms were charging triple and calling it danger money

It was a truly horrible day and for the next few weeks everyone was panicky and on edge.

RIP to everyone who lost their lives and thoughts are with anyone who was injured or who lost someone.

Yes it was vandalised and there was a ceremony at the memorial today, there was a minutes silence to remember what happened.

There are some sick individuals out there defacing something like that.
