So we have out main holiday booked in November where we will be heading off on a beach holiday, but we are looking for a uk break in September, either a log cabin or static caravan.. Can't decide whether to go up country or head to the west!

MAMOBA, miles and miles of bugger all (Aberdeenshire)

There are some lovely places in central scotland that might suit. Not sure if I'm allowed to name places here but if scotland interests you, PM me.

And no, no ulterior motive, I'm much further north

Wish it was the Algarve! Aberdeenshire

Have you considered renting a mobile home & driving around to places you would love to see? Could join in the swingers caravan club!

Rather depends on what you want, but Anglesey and Snowdonia are great in September.

All we want it a quiet no frills break, maybe somewhere where we could go walking and that has gorgeous scenery.

We've visited snowdonia a few times and yes it's lovely there

The log cabins in the Forest of Dean are really lovely with private hot tubs. Lots of walking & great scenery.

They have various sites throughout the UK depending where you fancy going.

Head for Snowdonia then, everything is compact and close to roads with good parking. Would suggest doing the Tryfan, Glyder Fawr, Devils Kitchen, Idwal, Ogwyn horseshoe. There is a really nice YHA hostel there. You might should also check out the deals on offer from Plas Y Brenin (dont forget to check out their bunkhouse deals) you may find something to really wet your appetite.

That's a road trip and a half. They should probably pop over to the Giant's Causeway just to cover all of the United Kingdom before the (possible) separation.

If you've watched any of the tour de France you'll have seen the glories of Yorkshire! As well as the countryside with lots of walks we also have a great coastline and lots of history and historic houses.

I don't holiday abroad anymore as there are so many wonderful places to see in this country.

My next non-work trip is back up to Cumbria and then heading to Derby. I've still got to arrange a Wales trip for this year too.

Not a lot of the country to go east or south really, I would say head North to the peak district. Beautiful countryside to lose yourself in.
