when's the best time?

you have chatted to a couple/single for a while and arranged a meet

it is decided they will come to you....

when do you think is the best time to give them your home address?

i know alot of people arrange to meet somewhere neutral but it's something we personally have never done

When I'm meeting with the possible view of coming back to my house I always insist on meeting somewhere neutral first for a drink and chat - that way no one is put on the spot and no addresses have been exchanged.

we thought that aswell ....we spoke to a couple not long back and we had sort of agreed to a meet in princaple and then the next thing we knew we were getting a message asking us for our address lol ....yet we hadn't even set a date

Same here... Unless we have met socially and want more. We tend to wait till were 100% before we give our address..

That’s a hard one. I don’t expect an address until the last thing and even then a neutral pub or something round the corner is more normal. But, I feel very exposed to being messed about if I haven’t got one prior to the date, and it’s hard to feel committed/open/relaxed until I do.

I don’t thing there is any one answer to this, it depends on the people and how you feel. I like to get the information first by phone (its personal and makes sure you have a number at least) and then by mail or txt to make sure I got it right. LOL

You suppose you could try exchanging address if that helps?

A day or two before the meet is sufficient. If they're not going to make it they don't need your address and if they are then they won't need it until closer to the event.

Now, where in Gateshead are you guys???

I'm new to this but I can't see a prob with meeting in a nearby pub first before you give your home address? Well OK, maybe one prob is they/he/she will get lost on the way from the pub if they don't have sat nav ?

would normally meet in a bar or have meal depends upon who it is after chatting for a while normally if everything is alright ill set maybe one other time going out then if still feels ok then ill either let follow or tell them just before there due as in night before x x
