As you'll know I'm in training for my next event. My muscles are so sore at the moment, and seem to be for days.

I know protein is suppot to help muscle recovery, but can also pit weight on, which I don't want.

Any advice on what supplements are good for muscle recovery whilst keeping weight off?

Do you take before or after Excercise?

Edinburgh

By experience. Don't skip your cool down session, cold shower after exercising, lavender gel is good for cooling down muscles, and raise your legs, regular massage too if you are training for an event to prevent injuries.

Good luck

"Do you take before or after Excercise?"

Put a teaspoonful in half a glass of water and take every day.

Not sure what sort of training you do but I do triathlon and after training and an event it's all about stretching off and I use SIS rego recovery shake and get no aches and pains the next day

Hot and cold cloths... A very deep massage... And time I'm afraid... Cooling off is as, if not, more important than warming up... But this I'm sure you already know. Good luck. With your training... Brave guy

Does that mean I'll do exactly as it says on the tin?

Protein does not cause weight gain, on the contrary it's much less likely to than carbs and fats, a high protein diet without carbs is efficient for weightloss. Protein supplies the amino acids you need for repair and renewal of muscle, but I find extra l-carnitine very helpful.
