I get very nervous before a meet.

I don't know why.

You'd think I'd be used to it by now, having had a few in my time...*ahem*

Anyone here get a dry mouth and start rambling?

It's hilarious what I come out with.

Anyone wise tips to calm the nerves?

Thanks.

consciously slow yourself down ten minutes before hand. Stop, breathe in hold for twelve and breathe out for twelve (seconds not minutes ) five or six times, relax your shoulders and face muscles, have some lavender oil on a piece of cotton wool and inhale that. Promise yourself that you will pause for three seconds before you say ANYTHING except "Hello, nice to see you". OR just carry on as you are, it's probably quite endearing

Last time I ended up talking about the homeless, the NHS and David Cameron then skipped maniacally onto playing with food in bed.

Oh yes.

I don't tend to get nerves, but I'd recommend practicing pulling faces in the mirror just before the meet

I have to say that I find it good when people are nervous and come out with random stuff - I find people are more likely to be themselves and honest when jibbering - I always get nervous and talk total garbage but at least I know that if someone wants another meet with me they must actually like me to put up with my level of randomness and insanity

I always get extremely nervous when I meet someone new. Borderline panic, like a bloody first date FFS, what if she doesn't like me etc etc. then I remember, they are probably just as nervous. I do try to get to know someone a bit on here first, Got to say that all the people I've met, have been lovely people and, when the ice is broken, were like old friends lol

I always get nervous before a meet but I think it is one of the best parts of a meet! All those butterflies whilst waiting for that first touch, the nerves soon disappear then.
