everyone likes to try and be a smart arse on here and put people down.

you wont find too many spiritual people on here that seek enlightenment or out of the norm things like lucid dreaming and out of body experiences, just people wanting to sniff panties etc.

theres a few good pages on face book with a nice community that might be better to ask there on any tips to help you get past the vibrational state.

Hubby managed it years ago, he had a very good book on the subject that helped him achieve it (unfortunately he is no longer with us to help any further)

I do remember tho, it involved being very very relaxed.. no stress or worries whatsoever, and making a device that hung from the ceiling that he could lie and relax in.. totally covered over so he could be totally unaware of where he was - which way he was facing, total silence.. it took a few hours (in fact, even a few attempts).

I've done it by accident lol. I was having a time in my life when I was experimenting with meditative practices and experienced many lucid dreams and also left my body a couple of times. Haven't used it for eavesdropping though so maybe some deliberate and intentional practice would be good to try

It does ?

Lucid dreaming is fun but still a mental manifestation. Astral projection has to my knowledge has no more impact on truth other than as a concept it is a fine illustration of fiction

If during a dream alleging out of body travel a person has an insight or altered perspective this has been deduced from within the mind using data already known NOT new data from an out of body journey x

I have a mild fascination in remote viewing etc, but isnt it all lacking in credible evidence? Meditations great, but being able to translocate seems rather short on fact, science etc

I agree on the lucid dreaming, which I've been doing since I was about 14.

I'm open minded where there is good evidence and the astral stuff, I believe, isn't too deep in it.

Ive managed to do this without even knowing it had a name, though only for 5 seconds. Short amount of time cause I had no idea what the hell was happening and snapped myself out of it. Brightonsteve told me this was Astral Projection. It half scared me tbf, at the time, hasnt happened to me again and I havent tried to do it again either. Still a little curious to read more about it though

I have come to the conclusion that 'my astral projection' experiences were just part of my lucid dreaming. In lucid dreaming the vibrational state is the transition into conscious sleep and leaving my body and the associated experiences are projections of the unconscious self and simply part of my dream state. As such I never felt any fear or that there were any demonic presences in this state and just enjoyed the trip

See... If i knew what the hell was happening to me at the time, it'd have been interesting to see how far I would've got. I was extremely tired that night but also I wanted to stay awake. Next thing you know, this happened to me, floated out of my body, across the bed and along the floor. I woke myself up obviously, was very confused as to what'd just occurred. There is no doubt that this actually happened, otherwise i wouldnt be saying it. Didnt know what to make of it

Astral projection, OBEs, UFOlogy and lucid dreaming may all be the same things, the only thing that differs is the belief system underpinning them. If you believe it then you can realise it in your conscious dream state. Treating it all as lucid dreaming seems a healthier option to me, especially when there is no scientific evidence for the various constructs around the other terms.

Our brains and minds are incredibly powerful, so I tend to ascribe most things that we sense are happening to these. Whilst we're influenced by the outer world, we're all able to tap into altered states as well as the awesome creativity that we have.

Lucid dreaming and hypnosis are capabilities that we hold to further expand our experiences.

Hey love your post. I put a thread up about paranormal today but explained later what i meant. I ve always been a travelker in my sleep, not dreams, more than that and i can often feel places etc.. I ve astraled, first time terrified me as it was unplanned and i had no idea how to return
