Horrible Job!

Titz Towers, North Notts

I've just been outside mowing the front and back lawns. It's a job I can't stand, as no matter how quickly I go, it still seems to take half an hour. I'm not even that fussed about the lawn, as long as it is green and the wildlife area I have up at the bottom end is overgrown I'm happy.

It's just a job I can't stand doing, what jobs does everyone else find horrible, tedious and could put off till the cows came home if they thought it wouldn't interfere with their respectability with the postman and other casual visitors?

I have an irrational hatred of putting deisel in my car, nothing to do with the cost it's the physical act of doing it. I also cannot abide hanging tiny otems on the washing line, give me a king sized duvet cover and I'm happy but socks and pants I absolutely HATE hanging out (there is a joke in there somewhere).

I dislike almost every domestic task.

I was supposed to be a lady of leisure but I was accidentally delivered to the wrong family by the stork.

"The wildlife are I have UP at the BOTTOM of my garden" amused me.

Metal racks - put in a strong plastic bag (eg a thick bin liner). Add some ammonia to the bag (in a ventilated area, without inhaling the fumes). Tie the bag closed. Leave overnight. Rinse. Job's a goodun.

We've got it all to come Tina. We're buying a house with 170ft of lawned gardens. Up until then, ironing is the worst job for me. Well...it would be if I did it! My fella does his ironing and I just buy clothes that don't need ironing...

Its the work of the devil. That and cleaning the oven. x

" a fortnight to do things like skirting boards...tiles in kitchen n bathroom and the oven etc....all time consuming and horrible jobs "

I sometimes look at the job, work out how long it would take me to do it, double it if I do it properly, and then work out my hourly rate and ask if I would do the job for that. If the answer is no, then it's a job to be put off.

The bins are my older daughters job to earn her phone contract so unless they really need emptying when she is not hear I don't do them. For some bizzar reason my 8 year old likes cleaning the bathroom so once a week I let her get on with it. She feels so proud of herself when it is all sparkly white

Weeding the garden. Made worse by the fact that my neighbours on one side have a garden that could be entered for Chelsea! So I feel I have to keep it looking reasonably good.

Place metal racks in a sealed black bag overnight with a splash of ammonia.

Open away from you in garden leave 5 mins then place in a warm bath of water , shake round then dry and tah dish clean racks with no effort. Always wear gloves and open outside and away from you.
