Hi all

so I hit 50 next month wow - not sure why I am surprised

I don't fancy staying at home and doing the normal stuff - so thinking of getting away for either a long weekend or a week. I am probably going solo but a male buddy may tag along.

So looking for somewhere probably in Europe bit of culture [not too much though] and a bit lively in the evenings. Don't mind beach or city as long as there is something to keep the interest day and night - happy to be active during the day time

Does anyone have any suggestions - nothing sleazy though

All offer great daytime sightseeing and the nightlife is also excellent.

As for Alnwick - I am travelling up to the North East today so I will try to fit that in this weekend

Reykjavik and all of Iceland. Simply brilliant in the summer. People are very friendly. Sun never sets, so weekends are one long party that never ends.
