Are people using this feature too much or are people just a little too shy to send a message?

I seem to be getting bombarded with winks but hardly any messages...

I do use winks myself but only if the person isn't looking for TV/TS...

Don't mind 'em, with filters in place we only get 'em from people who might interest us anyway so not that many to worry about.

I don't mind them, I've had 2 good meets that started as winks.

We're quite shy (to start with), so for us it's just testing the waters to see if people want to chat or play.

I like them. Met my fwb because she sent a wink.

Also made a few friends because of them.

I don't want the feature to go I like it but I do think it's being overly used

Since I removed my 'wink and I block you' from my profile (seemed hypocritical having it up as I've recently started winking rather than messaging) I get buckets of them.

Not a problem I have,

I don t send them if someone interests me that much I ll send a message, and the number I receive (I like them) isn t a problem ,

Winks are okay. Good at testing the water.

I can imagine more winks are being sent because hardly anyone gets a reply from their messages. Reading the forums, a lot of threads in the last couple of months, it seems like the majority (not all) of people say they don't respond to winks but also do not reply to messages as they get so many. Why should people then take the time & make the effort to send a message & get nothing back. It's a case of sod it, I can't be bothered no more & send a wink instead.

That shows that people do read profiles

I use winks exactly as they would face to face. A subtle hi

I generally like them and have had good meets from winks but if someone who winks doesn't have a face pic I'd just delete it so I suppose on that occasion, a message with a face pic attached would be better.

I use winks, just to show I've been there and as a form of hello, some people don't bother some wink back, and from there a conversation can ensue.

I use this function o let the person know I liked thier profile, it saves me writing a messge that will get deleted after being read.

If somebody would send me some winks I could then qualify to comment seriously

Have never sent a wink, or responded to one . Would rather receive or send a message . .
