Non talking friends

Why do people add you as a friend then never talk and when you remove them as a friend for that reason get all annoyed is it because they just want to look at the private pictures?

weve just had a big cull on friends and the next round coming soon, gave a warning and oooo did some come out of the woodwork - we do message a lot of them but if its us making the first move all the time gets a bit one way so said ta ta to a lot

lol. Some people are and some aren't, I have hardly any followers on Twitter and not many friends on facebook and we don't have many friends on here either but I suppose there's no harm in having a lot if that's what you want

Just bragging here but I have 25k followers on twitter! Some call me a celeb ???? people that know me don't.

Why would a big friends list put you off? Most people hide the list anyway. The max it shows is 20.

I only have a few friends and very really start a conversation, I normally just comment on status updates, But it's hard to carry on chatting with one line replies, yes/no/lol etc....

We have a few I chat to now and then, something, will normally start a conversation off.

There are a few now that don't chat anymore so sitting there dormant, maybe time for a clear out.

I think having just a few chatty friends is better than lots of non talkers.

I think some people like to use it like facebook and love 100s of friends

If people don't talk to me I delete them,no point them being on there

Really? I had about 20 in my friends list but deleted all but one cuz I didn't speak to them any more. No one said anything. Maybe they didn't notice. I don't think I would tbh.

This is exactly why my profile asks that guys DONT friend request me but just add me to their HOTLIST and use that to check back to profile..

I still have a way too big friend list tho and I think a non talkers/meeters cull is long overdue

Twitter confused me!

Facebook has me in a vulcan death grip & won't let go. I do not however have hundreds of friends but am due a cull, friends of friends etc need getting rid of.

In life i choose to have a few select friends & this applies to fab too i think. If we have nothing in common & your public pic (face) doesn't grab me or your profile sucks then i doublt i'd have you on my list. What's the point?

I think if youre controlled in accepting friends initially, limiting to those you have chatted with, and where you have a clear outcomes from what you may mutually gain from being friends, then it does save time downstream. Some users just hoover anyone up for whates seasons. Alot are motivated by private pics or getting turned on remotely. Consider keeping a spreadsheet of your friends, with notes upon why you added them as well as dates of contact. Best is to limit them becoming friends to start with. Im always shocked at getting requests from seemingly strangers where I dont share any knowledge or intimacy.
