Can't sleep in too much pain :(

Any advice on flushing kidney stones through your system. Second time I've had them, had to be lasered last time but really reluctant to go to hospital.

Gallons of cranberry juice, but really you need to get to hospital if you had to have them lasered previously xx

Thanks for the advice and I know I should really go but don't want to spend a week in hospital again. I'm hoping to flush them naturally but if the pain gets much worse then I'm going x

I was recently in hospital with pancreatitis. The guy in the bed opposite had kidney stones and it looked very painful. From what e said, he had to drink loads of water, take pain killers (OTC you can get co-codamol) and there is anti-sickness medication in case you're feeling nauseous, cyclizine is a good one. Failing that, it's obviously a trip to hospital, which is a last resort, but remember it can get serious so keep an eye on it.

Thanks yes it is extremely painful and I'm taking paracetamol, ibuprofen, tramadol and diuretics but still getting pain so think I'm gonna have to bite the bullet and go to hospital today x

If you are taking that amount of tablets and it's STILL painful - get yourself to the hospital...

I feel your pain. I was woken from my sleep in severe pain before Christmas with kidney stones, struggled on for the day, dvdntully went to the hospital and after a ct scan they told me that the stones were to big to pass naturally so they tried meds to try break it up, that didnt work so they went in and took it out. Best thing to do is pack a bag and head for A&E and get them stones sorted.

I don't think you're going to be able to avoid a trip to hospital even if you really don't want to go,the pain will dictate the decision for you

If you're taking that amount of pain killers and it's not helping you need to go to hospital ~ look at it as means to an end.

Thanks for all the advice, I've had them before and had to have them lasered as they were too big and blocked my kidneys. This time I can feel the pressure of them in my euretha so I'm gonna give it a few more hours then go

to hospital if no joy x

Very painful indeed... If you are still in pain with all those painkillers... The hospital is the place to be.
